Privacy Policy

Overview

Scanora helps identify plants and bugs from photos. The MVP is designed to be privacy-minded and local-first. You do not need to create an account to use the app.

Information We Process

  • Photos you choose to capture or import for identification.
  • Scan history, saved discoveries, and field notes stored on your device.
  • App settings such as onboarding state and permission state.
  • Subscription status and purchase events handled by Apple and RevenueCat.
  • Messages you send us if you contact support.

Photos and Scan Results

Scanora analyzes photos only when you choose to scan or import an image. For the MVP, scan history, saved discoveries, notes, and local image references are stored on your device. Deleting app data removes local Scanora history from that device.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Scanora uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlement status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, such as Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions, or when required by law.

Children

Scanora is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
